Project Contents
The project is made up of five components including the following project activities:
Component 1 - Coordination & Management
- overall coordination of components and project activities
- 4-monthly reportings
- organization of periodical project meetings
Component 2 - Communication & Dissemination
- development of a joint marketing plan in consideration of specified target groups
- development & use of a project logo, corporate design & a common website to promote the project
- development of promotion material (among others common exhibition stand, public relations, project newsletters)
Component 3 - Professional Museum Network
- organization of a European Maritime Heritage conference and training seminars for museum staff
- setup of a sustainable cooperation platform for maritime museums in the Southern Baltic area
- organization & installation of a common exhibition on 4 South Baltic subtopics about maritime traditions and common maritime heritage
Component 4 - Traditional Sailing Vessels & Maritime Festivals
- conception about the economic utilization, running of replicas & preservation of traditional maritime handcraft
- promotion, attractivation & positive image building of existing maritime events
- development of pilot products on land & water, new routings among cities and cruise products with traditional sailing vessels
Component 5 - Tourism Destination Branding & Marketing
- organization of training seminars for tourism stakeholders
- development of product packages on common themes adapted for target market of partners
- implementation of marketing activities to promote the South Baltic destinations (among others product catalogues, sales guides, translations of print media into languages of partner countries, production of a Maritime Heritage Atlas, media cooperations and online marketing)
